Richard Pike Associates makes two new appointments


Richard Pike Associates (RPA), a rapidly growing Norfolk-based affordable residential design and building specialist, has recently announced two new appointments. Lee Marsh, Senior Architectural Technician and Jane Hunting, Associate, join this practice to work on design and planningfor affordable residential homes.

Lee Marsh, an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arch. Tech. (ACIAT) and licensed BRE Ecohomes assessorwas previously an Architectural Technician at Ingleton Wood, has over five years of industry experience. Past projects included the development of 13 Lifetime Home dwellings with at least two of the dwellings designed to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 (Carbon Neutral) at East Hills Road, Costessey and a development of 40 new dwellings with a mix of bungalows, houses and flats, which achieved the Ecohomes requirements with the use of lights tubes and whole house heat recovery systems at Lincoln Aveune, Hingham. In his new role Lee hopes to continue to develop his interest in sustainable and energy efficient projects whilst contributing to the growth and development of the practice.

Lee commented, "Working at RPA gives me the opportunity to grow and take on my own work whilst drawing on Richard's (Pike) excellent knowledge and expertise so that we can offer a gold star service to clients."

The opportunity of new challenges at RPA motivated Jane Hunting to join the practice. With an MSc in Town Planning, Jane also joins RPA from Ingleton Wood where she was a planning assistant. Jane has gained experience in all sectors including residential, education and commercial, working on projects ranging from large strategic level masterplanning through to smaller scale feasibility studies in both urban and rural locations.

Jane sees great potential for career progression. Jane said, "To join RPA at its timeof growth and new direction is very exciting and gives me a chance to develop my own ideas and style within a structured team culture so that I can offer more multi-disciplinary services."
