Environmental and Sustainability Policy
We are aware of our responsibilities in working towards achieving sustainability, ensuring that the business operates in a social, ethical, economical and environmental manner.
We are aware of the contribution businesses can make in leading the way in promoting sustainability, and support the idea that with changes in the way employers and employees work they will subsequently make changes at home. RPA are to work as a collective with both partners and employees being committed to the implementation of all aspects of the policy. In order to achieve this all at RPA are to ensure good environmental awareness through continued professional development.
In order to accomplish the above, RPA have outlined what we believe to be achievable targets which can be implemented successfully. These achievable targets are to;
- Respond quickly to newly emerging sustainability issues and Government targets and initiatives
- To not only meet Government targets but exceed where possible
- Reduce waste and encourage re-use and recycling of materials
- Encourage careful use of consumables
- Promote use of sustainable technology and construction materials in construction processes.
- Continue to provide socially relevant services
- Provide high quality employment
- Provide opportunity for personal development of employees
- Periodically review the policy
Our long term aim is to implement a ‘Best Practice’ environmental management system, meeting the requirements under ISO 14001;1996. We are committed to prospering as a business, supporting the local community, and looking after our employees and their needs. The partners are to make sure the policy is communicated, understood and supported in order for the company as a whole to have a shared vision.
